Relax, take a rest, forget daily routine and get new energy – this is only possible if the noisy world remains outside. Those who once have smelled the spicy mountain air on the Bolsterlang sun plateau or have tasted a piece of mountain cheese on the mountain pasture in the middle of a colourful meadow can understand this. Everything necessary is present: a food shop, several inns with excellent cuisine, some open mountain pastures where to get a proper hiking snack – and, of course, hospitable accommodation. Simply idyllic!

The feeling of well-being regarding relaxation and recovery quickly comes up in Bolsterlang. You can breathe it, feel its effects and enjoy the silence – everything else is to be found some kilometers away, e.g. in Oberstdorf (10 km) or Fischen (3 km or ½ h on foot). The inns and mountain pastures guarantee the physical well-being of finest Allgäu kind.
In the first place, Bolsterlang offers natural pleasures and marvellous views. A Hörner-Panorama-Tour will be unforgettable – with the Hörnerbahn up and then the 3 ½ hour-long ridge-hiking-tour from summit to summit. Those who like it more easygoing can enjoy the views directly on the walking paths of the sun plateau.

Children want to play, stroke animals, be on the move – is there a better place than in the village and on the meadow – and on the playground or minigolf course in the spa gardens “Kitzebichl”? For both younger and older children, a horse-carriage ride is always something special. The programme for children “Hörni-Camp” with tents is present from the end of June to the beginning of September. Here, all have much fun together – both local and tourist children! Our minders will fill you with enthusiasm – and that is a promise!

Brass music and rural dances, theatre and forest festivals, local evenings and summer-night-festivals, alpenhorn music and the famous “Bergler Kirbe” – all that is to be naturally experienced in a real mountain village. In the banqueting hall “Kitzebichl”, all guests are invited to take part in the festivities.

Bolsterlang guarantees top experiences in winter. It has a family skiing area right in front of its door which is no more than 300 meters distant from any accommodation in Bolsterlang or Sonderdorf – the entrance to our skiing paradise. Thus, you can comfortably reach it on foot and without a car. A double ski-lift, three T-bar lifts and the Hörnerbahn take you up to over 1500 meters of ski-runs with snow-guarantee, artificially snowed if necessary. The ski- and snowboard-schools teach young and old ski-freaks how it goes. Of course, also natural pleasures do not fall short here: 15 kilometers of cross-country courses are well prepared around Bolsterlang, inclusive a connection to Fischen and Obermaiselstein. A snow-shoe hiking tour via the Hörner or to the Bogen valley makes many a Yeti go into raptures.
